The Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) serves over three million people a year and covers four San Francisco Bay Area counties. After twenty-eight years and more than one billion passengers, residents still rely on BART as a safe, economical, and energy-efficient means of transportation.

When riders are not on a train, BART uses its Web site to support its commitment to providing unparalleled transit service. As the transit system of choice for an incredibly tech-savvy community, BART recognized that technology could better serve the needs of today's urban traveler, and approached 415 to improve the performance, scalability, accessibility, and aesthetic of their site.
